Champify Configuration
How to configure Champify
Navigate to the Setup Screen
You can set up Champify directly inside Salesforce.
To start, click the “App Launcher” (the grid of nine dots) at the top left of your screen in Salesforce. Search for and click “Champify” which will bring you to Champify setup.
Input your Champify App ID
When prompted to input your Champify ‘App ID’, insert the ID provided to you by Champify. This will enable you to proceed to the main configuration screen. You will only need to do this once.
- Your App ID will be provided by your Champify representative. If you don’t have one, please reach out.
- If you are having trouble loading the Champify setup screen, double check that your user has been assigned the “Champify Administrator” permission set.
Contact Reports
Select reports containing contacts you would like to track job changes for.
- Click “Add Report”
- Select the reports you would like to track job changes for
This list only displays Salesforce reports with “Champify” in the report name.
In order for contacts to be tracked by Champify, reports must also have the Sync with Champify
as a column in the report.
The report type also needs to contain “Contact.”
- Once you’ve selected a report, click “Save”.
- Once a report has been added, add a label for “Previous Relationship”
Add/edit the “Previous Relationship” label by clicking the pencil icon on the right side of the text field
Click “Save” to apply the label
- Repeat Steps 1-4 for additional reports
Details:
- All contacts appearing in the reports will be tracked
- Contacts in each report do not have to be unique. “Previous Relationship” labels are applied to unique contacts in the order the reports are listed. If a user is included in multiple reports, the “Previous Relationship” label will be applied for the report highest in the report list.
- Champify refreshes selected reports everyday
- Our ‘Add Contacts’ job has a limit of 50k rows. If your contact report has greater than 50k contacts, you'll need to gradually add them in batches of 50k at a time. Make sure to add them in the proper order, with the higher priority relationships added before lower priority relationships. After adding your first batch of 50k or fewer, run the ‘Add Contacts’ job manually at the bottom of the Setup Screen in the Manual Controls section. Repeat the process for remaining reports, in batches of no more than 50k contacts.
Qualification
Set criteria for new employment to be surfaced by Champify. Contacts that do not match will still be tracked & surfaced if they become qualified in the future.
You can filter new employment by title keywords, and by account size.
Filter by Title
Manage the keywords that a new Contact's job title must contain. You can add several title keywords at once using a comma separated list of keywords.
Keywords
- Keywords are case insensitive, and multiple keywords are used together with OR logic.
- For titles that are often abbreviated, such as CXO roles, we recommend including both the full title and the abbreviation, e.g. ‘CTO’, ‘Chief Technology Officer’.
- These values are meant to be broad (director, sales, revenue) rather than exact (Director of Revenue Operations) so that they are not overly constrictive.
Excluded Titles
- If there are titles that you do not want to reach out to, add them in the exclusion section
Auto-qualification
- In addition to the keywords you share, we also look through titles on your closed won opportunities. If a title appears 5+ times, we include it and any semantic matches as key titles too. Full description of the auto-qualification logic here.
Key Arrivals
- We recommend prioritizing VP and CXO titles for your key personas (e.g. sales, revenue, GTM). However, if there is a title that signals appetite to explore your software, we recommend excluding any seniority threshold. Best practice example: Champify would qualify marketing, sales and revenue new hires with VP+ titles as well as a pipegen program hire with any level of seniority.
Retro Analysis
- We can provide analysis on included and excluded titles for your account. Reach out to your CSM if interested.
Additional Info
- If you change these criteria later on, you can click “Get Job Changes” at the bottom of the screen to re-process the unqualified changes to see if any should be surfaced as a lead.
- If the person’s title or company size changes at a later date, Champify will automatically reprocess them.
Filter by Account Size
Select the minimum number of employees a person’s new company must have.
- This filter is also applied to accounts not in CRM.
- To set a maximum number of employees, reach out to your CSM.
If you don’t wish to filter by title or account size, you can disable each qualification to pass through all job changes.
Select the Object Types for Champify to Create
When Champify detects job changes for your tracked contacts, it will either update existing records or create new ones of a particular type based on your preference.
If the contact for a qualified job change already exists, Champify will enrich that record rather than creating a new record.
